Karen has been styling hair for over 30 years. Her educational background includes several advanced haircutting classes. “I will never let you—or your hair—down.”
Nicole has been with ASHD since the beginning. She’s been in the business for over 15 years. Her favorite service is color. “I'm here to listen. Tell me what you're feeling, and I'll do my best to get you that look.”
Hello! My name is Siarra, and I’ve been a hairstylist since 2018.
From a young age, I knew the beauty industry was where I belonged. Surrounded by hairstylists in my family and community, I was inspired early on to pursue a career in hair—and that passion has only grown stronger over the years. Every day, I strive to continue learning and evolving as a stylist.
I’ve completely fallen in love with the creative side of the industry, especially color—vivids, in particular, have my heart! I truly believe that hair is a form of art, and I’m so excited to help each client become a beautiful canvas for self-expression.
I’m a proud Vermont native and a big fan of fall—my favorite time of year. I love everything about cozy season: warm fires, spooky festivities, and, of course, apple picking. I’m also a mom to two energetic boys and married to my high school sweetheart, who’s been cheering me on since the beginning.
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this amazing team and can't wait to grow, learn, and connect with all of you.

ASHD - Alexis Scott Hair Design (Formerly La Mirage)
ASHD was conceived in 2017 when owners Tonia and Ian Gates decided it was time to go on their own. Tonia, a Master stylist for La Mirage for 19 years at the time was ready to advance her career by either starting her own salon or purchasing her long-time workplace; La Mirage.
If you know Tonia and Ian, you also know that their children are the center of their universe and so this is where the new moniker was derived. Alexis Scott are the middle names of their first and second born. It flowed well and created a catchy and memorable acronym with “ASHD”. #getashd #alexisscotthardesign
The La Mirage acquisition was completed on October 1, 2019. They felt that the La Mirage brand had served it’s purpose and left a lasting impression in the upper valley, but with the interior renovations, changes in hair care brands and services offered that change wasn't a bad thing, and it was time for a re-branding. Significant investment was made to change your overall experience to be the best possible and will continue to be made in the future years.
ASHD now offers an all new lineup of premium European hair care lines; with Swedish made SachaJuan, Australian brand Eleven, as well as locally (NH) designed and crafted lines RPM and Cove. Additionally, we have changed to J Beverley Hills Color product as well as their men’s line and couldn’t be happier.
